5 Stylish Stars to Watch in 2014

It's only February and there's been a handful of celebs  taking 2014 by storm & standing out amongst their celeb colleagues when it comes to their style. These days, it seems as though it's harder to get noticed when you have your Mileys, your Gagas, your Pharells keeping social media buzzing with their over-the-top getups (think Grammy HateGate 2014).

I'm taking the focus off of the shocking and bringing it back to true fashion and elegance in this list of 5 stylish stars to watch in 2014. Let's begin, shall we?

#5 Kiernan Shipka

Hard to believe she is only 14 years old and already making a splash on the fashion scene. Whoever her stylist is knows she's not a girl, not yet a woman but dresses her in the most absolutely flawless yet age-appropriate ensembles. I have no doubt that she's going to be a force to be reckoned with on red carpets to come.

#4 Taylor Swift

I know I've mentioned Taylor a few times on this blog but I'm loving how her style is evolving. Taylor seems to really be embracing her long, leggy, model-esque figure and (finally!) giving us more sophisticated city girl and less country girl-next-door.

#3 Zendaya

This up-and-coming singer/actress is going the alternate route from her former disney colleagues and totally owning the high-fashion protege she is becoming. I'm loving that she's ditching the typical sugary getups and opting for a more Jackie O-like sophistication. Miley, Selena, take notes!

#2 Iggy Azelea

What's not to love about Iggy Azalea? She's young, fresh, and everything I love about the high-fashion and hiphop fusion taking over right now. With a killer body she's more than proud to show off, you can catch Iggy rocking anything from Adidas leggings and Louboutins to drop-dead gorgeous red-carpet designer threads and of course, flawless every time.

#1 Lupita Nyong'o

Thank you, Gods of Hollywood Glam. Lupita Nyong'o is creating the biggest buzz right now since the debut of her movie '12 Years a Slave' began making the award season rounds. This beauty stands out on every red carpet, elegantly dressed in the most beautiful gowns, perfectly fitted and effortlessly styled to. the. tee. She has single-handedly raised the bar for Hollywood glam which is why she's my #1 stylish star to watch in 2014! Watch out Angelina.

A Little Guide To Valentine's Day 2014

Whether you like it or not, Valentine's day is approaching quickly! Chances are, if you're in a relationship or dating, you may or may not have already thought about how you're going to spend Valentine's day this year. If not, don't fear, here's some ideas I've come across to help you get in the mood for love this weekend.

The MAKEUP

I found this look from one of my favorite Youtube beauty vlogger Nicole Guerriero. If you haven't checked out her channel on youtube, you're missing out on some amazing tutorials! Check out this orange, sultry look perfect for a date with your valentine!

The LOOK

Ok so #funfact: I hate pink. I've always hated pink. Personally, I don't think the color looks good on me so typically I avoid it at all costs. People tend to go very pink on Valentine's Day but you don't necessarily have to be a super girly pink princess just because it's the day of love. There are ways to look chic and fashionable without the pink/hearts/red lips overload. Here's what I have in mind instead:

This super ddorable tribal romper from Asos.com is perfect for any casual setting. Ditch the hat and pair it with heels and a black leather jacket to dress it up!

This Knit Rib Midi dress from LoveCulture.com is super sexy paired with black, strappy heels. It can also be dressed down with flat lace-up sandals and chunky accessories if your plans are more casual.

The SHOES

My obsession at the moment are these Zara lace-up booties. I'm not typically a shoe person but for these... *Rachel Zoe voice* I die.

The GIFT

We can't forget about the reason for the holiday! Love, of course!

Shopping for a guy is usually pretty easy because most of the time, they don't expect anything anyway. But the truth is, everyone likes getting gifts. So what do you get your sweetie for Vday?Guys love getting things they usually have to shop for. Put together a basket full of all of his favorite body washes, deodorants, hair gel, razors, after shave, his favorite magazine, etc. etc. Once you've stocked up on all his manly needs, personalize the basket with a custom photo of you together which can be printed on a mouse pad, coasters, or coffee mug! Check out CVSphoto.com to order online.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day and feel free to share any ideas you also have! xoxo

Top 5 Reasons to Love Downtown Miami

I'm smitten. It's only been a short time since we've met and I must admit, I've fallen fast. Who is this  newfound love you ask? Oh, just 2.11 square miles of urban neighborhood living called Downtown Miami. Ok, so maybe I'm being a tad melodramatic but there's just something about this thriving little hub that excites me. Actually there's a few things but I've managed to narrow it down to 5. Check out my top 5 reasons to love Downtown Miami. Cue the Gogo dancers!

5.) Free Yoga in the park.

Yes, you read that right. Free. Yoga. Miami's BayFront Park hosts weekly Yoga classes open to anyone willing to show up and get in tune with their mind, body, and soul. The scenery is the coolest part, as classes take place in beautiful Bayfront Park overlooking the bay. And best of all, there's no need for memberships, just a simple registration and you're off to achieving your inner peace. Ommmm!

4.) The Heat!

No, not the temperature, although that could certainly make the list. I'm talking the Miami Heat! Downtown Miami is home to the amazing American Airlines Arena aka the official home of Miami Heat basketball! Living in Downtown Miami puts you at the perfect place to catch a Heat game without dealing with traffic. And if you miss the game, the energy alone during game nights will have you cheering for Lebron and the gang from the comfort of your own couch whether you meant to or not!

3.) The Food.

Downtown Miami is an amazing spot to grub out! If you're looking for an awesome brunch spot, Sedici Cafe is the perfect place. Their giant omelets and fresh squeezed orange juice are KILLER and have become a staple in my Saturday morning routine.

For lunch, Hibachi Grill on NE 3rd is perfection. They have healthier options, great service, and speedy delivery! I recommend the shrimp & chicken combo hibachi with extra pink sauce! ;)

Hands down, the best place to eat downtown is Ceviche 105.  This Peruvian restaurant is always packed and for a great reason! The food is amazing! Not to mention, the prices are pretty reasonable and the environment is like eating in one huge family dining room. Highly recommended!

2.) The views.

If you're lucky enough to live in any of the buildings off of Biscayne Blvd., chances are you have an amazing view of both the city and the bay. It might just be me, but there's just something about driving home and seeing tons of colorful buildings illuminating rays of light off the water. How can you not be happy when your surroundings are so vibrant and beautiful? Tons of tourists pass through downtown Miami for the same reason why I made this my number 2. And don't get me started on the sunsets! Those double-decker tour buses are on to something, wouldn't you say?

1.) Location, location, location!

Downtown Miami is the perfect location because you're a few minutes from the best in entertainment, culture, art, and everything else that makes Miami an awesome place. Hop on the Metro Mover to go virtually anywhere you want (even the airport!). Want to party in South Beach? A 10 minute cab ride is all it takes. The best part about living in Downtown Miami is that it's the heart of such a great city in general. Downtown is the place to be!

Let's Talk Grammys!

Millions of people like myself tuned into the Grammy's this year to check out music's biggest night.  But if you're anything like me, awards and performances were secondary to the true reason why you set that DVR or tuned in live to capture Sunday night's festivities. The fashion, of course! Yes, it's true, the crazy outfits and stunning gowns are known to be the true scene stealers of any awards show and the Grammy Awards tend to bring out the most creativity in our favorite stars. Here's a look at some of my favorite Grammy fashion winners!

Taylor Swift. America's girl-next-door is giving us metallic, armored-suit chic in this number by Gucci. She looks amazing and unlike John Mayer, is just the perfect fit for her. Yeah, I said it.

Chrissy Teigen. This stunning metallic design by Johanna Johnson flattered the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and gave us head-to-toe golden goddess. But then again, what doesn't look great on a Sports Illustrated model?

Ciara. My final fav comes from the very beautiful and very pregnant Ciara. The glowing may be natural but this Emilio Pucci gown certainly compliments this stunning future mom. See what I did there?

Feel free to share your favs from this year's Grammy Awards! xoxo Toni.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall.

It's that time of year again folks. Trees become bare as their crisp leaves fall to the ground and scatter across paths. Cool winds twirl about and infiltrate your windows leaving clues of wintery nights soon to come. Aromas of pumpkin and cinnamon fill the air as you're perspiring profusely in 90 degree weather. Wait, what? Ok, maybe that last one only applies to us Floridians but if you're in pretty much any other state, there's chances that you're experiencing these first signs of Fall. Now, I've made it known before just how much I love summer, and I really, really do. But I think that my love for summer comes mostly from a lifetimes absence of fall. I've never lived in a place where all four seasons made their presence known. Living in Florida almost always guaranteed prolonged seasons of summer and a maybe a week or two of "winter". And I'm ok with it. But that doesn't mean that I can't love the fall for all the reasons anyone else would! And of course the main reason being Fall Fashion. Stroll along with me as I jump into a few fashionable reasons to love this season.

BOOTS, BOOTS, and more BOOTS.

Ankle boots, Riding boots, Combat, oh my!

Deep Plum Lip Colors and Rich Shadowy Tones!

Explore richer makeup looks and put the nude colors and pink tones back until next year.

Daring Denim

I'm loving bold colored denim and eye-catching prints for fall! Pair with any type of boot and finish with a deeper toned makeup look to complete the entire package!

Share some of your favorite Fall looks with me on Twitter @Hey_itsToni! Until next time!  xoxo Toni

My Top 5 Favorite Trends for the Summer

When I think about the summer, two things in particular come to mind: laying out and alcoholic beverages. Ok, so although I could definitely argue that those are my favorite parts of summer by far, there's one thing in particular that I love about the summertime that makes me excited when the weather starts to go from "hot" to "hot-as-hell" (Floridians know what I'm talking about). Of course what I'm talking about are summer trends! Every year there's a few trends in particular that spread like wildfire and before you know it, you find yourself ditching last years trends and out shopping for the hottest new looks of the season! I've compiled a list of my top 5 favorite trends of Summer 2012! So, feel fee to grab a drink and hop on my trend train! (Sorry for that).

5.) Tribal Prints

If you waste countless hours pinning away on Pintrest at ungodly hours of the night like I do, then you've probably come across a few pictures of cute tribal-inspired looks. I absolutely LOVE that this look is hot this year because I have to admit, I've always had a thing for eclectic tribal patterns. The different color schemes and patterns are so eye-catching and fun to wear whether you're on the sand or out for a night on the town. Here's a few of my favorite tribal-inspired looks!

4.) Bronzing skinfinishes

What's better than looking like a hot bronzed goddess? Looking like a hot bronzed goddess without actually having to take the risk of burning your skin in the sun's unforgiving rays! Take it from me, you can achieve that sultry summer glow by simply applying a finishing bronzer or "skin finish" on top of your normal makeup routine in seconds! I recently picked one up from MAC and immediately fell in love from the minute I opened up the compact to see all the glittery, bronze goodness! I just apply a little on the top of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, and forehead to give my face that "laying out in the sun all day" glow. No sunburn required!

3.) Juicing

If you're a fitness junkie (or pretend to be, like I do) then you've probably already heard about this trend: juicing. And no, I'm not referring to the codeword for steroid use, I'm talking about natural juicing aka using a juicer to make your meals with the good stuff that comes from the ground! I must admit, I've spent a fair amount of time looking into juicers and let's just say, they're not exactly the cheapest thing on the planet! But investing in a good one is something I see as a huge plus! In minutes, your favorite fruits and veggies turn into healthy, natural meal replacements, energy drinks, and even sweet treats! So here's to sipping your way to health!

2.) Cute DIY hairstyles

There's been a huge trend movement in hair this summer! Forget the plain-jane ponytails, there are literally hundreds of cute hairstyle tutorials I've seen all over Youtube that are not only doable but cute enough to pass along. We're talking funky fishtail braids, chalk-colored highlights, bold two-toned styles, oh my! Girls everywhere are starting to embrace their creativity and create amazing styles to show off this summer! Here are a few of my favorites courtesy of Pintrest (again).

1.) NAILS, NAILS, NAILS!

And finally, the most talked about trend this year has to do with (drumroll) NAILS! It seems like everywhere you turn, there's an instagram of someone's funky nail colors or a twitpic of crazy nail accessories! It seems that this year, everyone is obsessed with nails! I'm seeing everything from bold, eye-catching colors to textured "caviar" styles to pointy cat-like claws and beyond! Gone are the days of the boring french manicure! This summer, it's all about expressing your personal style on the things we use the most! Here are a few of my favorite nail styles I've seen floating around the interwebz.

As always, thanks for reading! And don't forget to comment and leave me some of your favorite trends this summer! :)

2012 MTV Movie Awards - Best and Worst Dressed!

The MTV Movie Awards aired last night and as usual, the hottest stars brought out all the stops on the red carpet. The 'anything goes' vibe of MTV Movie Awards is what separates it from those other awards shows and is the main reason why I love checking out all the fashions. From ultra sexy pant-suits to red hot minis, most of last nights fashions were definitely drool-worthy, if I must say so myself! Here are a few of my favorite looks from the red carpet and a few looks I thought were as disappointing as the lack of action during the acceptance for 'Best Kiss'. Hold on to your golden popcorn!

Charlize Theron STUNNED in a very elegant, yet sexy red Lanvin dress. I have to say, I really love everything about this dress. The shape, the color, the way it makes her look so effortlessly chic. Charlize is the queen of red carpet fashion wonders and this look certainly made the Hollywood newcomers know the glam goddess is here to stay.

Anyone who knows me, knows how obsessed I am with menswear inspired fashion for women. That being said, I absolutely loved Shailene Woodley's black pant and vest combo by Stella McCartney. It was classic, it was sexy, and it definitely turned heads on the red carpet! Her messy-chic fishtail braid was perfect for the summer show and proved that you don't need a fancy undo to rock a red carpet!

Although she skipped the red carpet this year, Jennifer Aniston looked amazing in this fitted leather Valentino number. She paired it with ultra-sexy stripy sandals to complete the look and lengthen those long, toned legs. She definitely edged it up for this occasion and she proved that not only does she do elegant hollywood glam well, but she can rock the leather with the rest of 'em!

Not all that glittered was golden last night. My three worst looks go to Jessica Biel, Kristen Stewart and Crystal Reed. I'm not sure what these three were thinking with these looks so I'll let you guys write your own captions! Let me know what you think of last nights red carpet show down and as always, keep an eye out for upcoming blogs on everything fashion, beaty, and hair! <3
